Barry Gardiner MP is the MP for Brent North, he was the Former UK’s Shadow Secretary of State for International Trade and Shadow Minister for International Climate Change. Dawn Butler MP was elected as the Member of Parliament for Brent South on 5 May 2005 and became the first elected African-Caribbean woman to become a Government Minister in the UK. Dawn continues to commit her time in parliament to representing groups and people in society that are often underrepresented. In 2017, Dawn became the first MP in its history to sign a question in the House of Commons using British Sign Language, highlighting the need to give the language full legal status. Dawn for the last two years has been awarded two Patchwork Foundation awards, having been voted People's Choice 2016 Labour MP of the Year and next receiving the Overall MP of the Year award 2017. Dawn served as the Shadow Minister for Women and Equalities from 2017 to 2020.

Michael Fuller was formerly Her Majesty’s Chief Inspector of the Crown Prosecution Service. This was an independent role, which required him to inspect the performance of public prosecutors and formally report to the Attorney General and the Justice Committee of the House of Commons. He is a Barrister (non-practising) and was called to the Bar at Lincoln’s Inn in 2007. Prior to his appointment as HM Chief Inspector, Michael had a long and distinguished career in the Police Service.
He came to prominence in April 2004 when he was appointed in Kent as Britain’s first black Chief Constable. He subsequently received the Queen’s Police Medal for distinguished service. During Michael’s 26 years in the Metropolitan Police he helped set up the Racial and Violent Crime Task Force and drew up the Met Police action plan in response to criticism of the force arising from the Stephen Lawrence Inquiry.
